Blackstone Tub Refinishers are located in Calgary, Alberta and have been restoring old worn out bathtubs and ceramic tile, in residential and commercial properties to like new condition in Calgary, Southern and Central Alberta for over a decade. Having been in the new home sector as a painting contractor for over 25 years, incorporating bathtub refinishing as an added service seemed a no brainer. Realizing that there needed to be an economical solution to help eliminate the harmful effects of lead leeching into bath water as a result of worn out finishes on the tub surface. We then began searching for products that would be durable and stand the test of time, as well as being as environmentally safe as possible to the consumer. It is through the use of our proven systems, quality materials, customer service, and reasonable pricing, that your satisfaction as a customer is paramount in our day to day operations. Our professionally trained technicians are courteous, and respectful. They spend the time necessary to provide each customer’s refinishing needs with the high quality of a new look finish.
In 2006, as a result of conversations with many of our senior and disabled customers, we realized that most had one thing in common. Getting in and out of their existing bathtub was a major problem in their life, and that many had already, or were afraid of falling in the tub. Some were quite distressed about possibly losing their independence just because of their inability to access the bathtub. We began to research the availability and affordability of bathtub products on the market and found that many seniors and those on a fixed income could not afford the price of many walk in bathtubs and tub to shower conversion systems when renovation costs were factored into the equation.
Our mandate then, was to locate products that could be installed, by working with the existing bathtub and installing them with little or no disruption to the home. These products had to be of superior quality and had to be an affordable alternative to expensive bathroom renovations. Blackstone Tub Refinishers were proud to announce in 2007 that we now also offer the installation of bathtub conversion systems such as our own Blackstone Tub Step, Safeway Step Bathtub conversion products, and the Safety Bath Door Insert Kit along with the custom safety seat. All of which provide you with a walk in tub without the expense of a costly, time consuming and messy renovation. Installations have been completed in Calgary, Airdrie, Drayton Valley, Spruce Grove, Westlock, Brooks, and Lethbridge Alberta as well as numerous assisted care facilities in the Calgary area.
